Departments

At Mindcare, psychiatry encompasses specialised departments that collaborate across prevention, care, and rehabilitation. Unlike traditional models, Mindcare integrates these specialties with research and digital innovations. The upcoming 100-bed Mindcare Institute will be India’s first fully digital, research-integrated psychiatric centre, supporting advanced courses in each field.

Child and adolescent psychiatry

Early-life care that builds strong emotional foundations.

From autism and ADHD to learning and behaviour issues, this unit integrates psychodiagnostics, counselling, neuromodulation, neurofeedback and occupational therapy to guide growth and resilience.

Mindcare’s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division embodies a new paradigm in developmental psychiatry—one that moves beyond diagnosis toward understanding shared neural circuits of behaviour, emotion, and cognition.

Traditional categories like ADHD, ASD, mood, and conduct disorders often overlap in symptoms such as impulsivity, aggression, and emotional dysregulation. Our approach replaces rigid labels with circuit-informed, function-focused assessment and care, grounded in evidence-based neuroscience.

We identify the brain’s modifiable networks involved in self-regulation and adaptive learning. Our team blends psychodiagnostic testing, EEG, neurofeedback, and then gently recalibrate the developing brain circuits with neuromodulation (tDCS, tRNS, tACS, CES and Low Intensity rTMS). Each plan also integrates behavioural therapy, parental coaching, and neurocognitive training—customized through continuous digital monitoring. This has allowed us to design interventions that target neural circuits—rather than diagnostic boundaries—producing measurable improvement in attention, behaviour, and affect control.

Mindcare’s framework aligns with contemporary dimensional models such as RDoC and HiTOP, integrating biological, cognitive, and emotional domains into clinical practice. By harnessing neuromodulation, psychophysiology, and digital monitoring, our team delivers developmentally sensitive, scalable care even in resource-limited contexts.

Therapeutic work blends behavioural therapy, parental coaching, and neurocognitive stimulation within an environment that values empathy as much as evidence.

The department’s ongoing studies explore screen-exposure neurophysiology, autonomic markers of childhood stress, and neuroplasticity modulation in learning and emotion circuits—forming the foundation for future fellowship and research programs in developmental neuroscience.

Mindcare’s child psychiatry program represents a quiet revolution—one where science, circuitry, and compassion converge to nurture resilient young minds.

Organic Psychiatry New

Where Psychiatry meets General Medicine.

Managing Organic Psychosis, Dementia with behavioural problems, Epilepsy-related syndromes, and age-linked cognitive decline through Pharmacotherapy, Neuromodulation, Evidence Based Music Therapy and Cognitive Rehabilitation.

Mindcare’s Organic & Geriatric Psychiatry division works at the crossroads of brain, body, and behaviour, where medical and psychiatric conditions often blur into one another.

We care for acute conditions like electrolyte imbalance, dementia with behavioural problems, epilepsy-related mood changes and behavioural problems, Parkinson’s disease and associated behavioural problems, post-stroke syndromes, and a wide range of behavioural problems associated with general medical illnesses. Many of these cases exist in a twilight zone—where organic and functional origins fluctuate—demanding close clinical observation and continuous coordination between specialties.

Our setup includes a dedicated High-Dependency Unit (HDU) for precise vital and behavioural monitoring, ensuring safety during diagnostic clarification or medication adjustment. Advanced investigations such as High end clinical laboratory, EEG, sleep studies, heart-rate variability (HRV), and neuro-psychophysiological assessments guide individualized, circuit-based management with Neuromodulation.

The upcoming 100-bed Mindcare Institute of Mental Health & Allied Sciences will extend this model through a high-end ICU and multidisciplinary integration, bridging psychiatry, neurology, and medicine to efficiently manage this under-served twilight area of healthcare.
By uniting what has long been fragmented, Mindcare aims to make care cohesive, cost-effective, and human-centred.

The department will also host fellowship and research programs in Geriatric and Organic Psychiatry, focusing on neurocognitive rehabilitation, circuit-based interventions, and psychophysiological education for future clinicians.

Mindcare unites what modern healthcare often separates: the science of the body and the emotions of the mind.

Addiction Psychiatry

Comprehensive recovery beyond detox.

Combining evidence-based medication, psychotherapy, and neuromodulation, the department helps rebuild health, identity, and purpose.

Mindcare’s Addiction Psychiatry division offers comprehensive, science-based care for substance use and behavioural addictions through an integrated model that restores both biology and identity.

Our 24×7 supervised deaddiction facility ensures safe detoxification and continuous clinical monitoring. Beyond withdrawal management, care extends into rehabilitation, emotional rebuilding, and relapse prevention—guided by empathy and structure.

Treatment combines advanced pharmacotherapy with neuromodulation and digital therapies. We routinely use tDCS (F4–F3+) protocols, rTMS, Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), VR-based craving modulation, and HRV-biofeedback to strengthen impulse control and cognitive flexibility. Psychological components include CBT, motivational enhancement, group therapy, and mindfulness-based relapse prevention, ensuring a holistic path to recovery.

Our Addiction Lab conducts ongoing research on cannabis-induced psychosis, digital craving tracking, and circuit-level predictors of relapse. Reintegration plans include family therapy, vocational guidance, and app-based compliance tracking for sustained sobriety.

Mindcare transforms deaddiction from detox to rediscovery—uniting pharmacology, neuromodulation, and human resilience in one continuum of care.

Mood Final

Structured, algorithmic care for bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and related psychotic conditions.
Integrating pharmacology, rTMS, tDCS, and VR-assisted therapies to restore stability, insight, and functional recovery.
Supported by 24×7 crisis intervention and HDU monitoring, this department combines clinical precision with compassionate respectful restrain for safe, accelerated recovery.

Mindcare’s Mood & Psychosis division provides structured, algorithmic, and round-the-clock care for bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and related psychotic conditions. Our work begins with precision—diagnostic psychology and neurocognitive profiling ensure that every treatment rests on an accurate understanding of the individual’s illness pattern.

The centre maintains a 24×7 crisis intervention unit for emergencies involving suicidality, aggression, or risk of harm, supported by trained staff skilled in safe restraint, pharmacological sedation, and de-escalation. Our High-Dependency Unit (HDU) allows continuous monitoring and supports acute stabilization while maintaining dignity and safety.

Recovery is accelerated through our Neuromodulation Department, which uses rTMS and tDCS to enhance mood regulation and insight, complemented by Virtual Reality-assisted therapies and evidence-based music therapy—notably Raaga Kedar, shown to improve emotional coherence and calm.

Therapeutic psychologists further refine insight, while the Department of Psychiatric Social Work focuses on reintegration, ensuring patients return to community and occupation with restored confidence.

For Mindcare, treatment of psychosis means more than symptom control—it’s about disability reduction, functional recovery, and reclaiming a full, meaningful life.
Here, science and compassion work in rhythm—restoring balance, insight, and belonging.

Neurotic Psychiatry

Focused on Depression Anxiety, OCD, and Stress-Related Disorders.

Combining Pharmacotherapy, Psychological Therapy, Biofeedback, Neuromodulation, Evidence Based Music Therapy within a calm, outcome-oriented framework.

Mindcare’s Neurotic Psychiatry Department was created with a clear purpose — to serve individuals with anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, and stress-related conditions in a space that feels safe, respectful, and stigma-free.

Many such patients possess intact insight—they understand something is wrong and seek professional help. Yet stigma often isolates them: they may not feel comfortable sharing clinical spaces with psychotic or geriatric patients, nor at ease in addiction units where risk of exposure or imitation exists. Mindcare recognizes this silent suffering and has built a dedicated environment designed for comfort, privacy, and therapeutic openness.

Every patient undergoes detailed diagnostic and therapeutic psychological evaluation, allowing personalized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based psychiatry. Therapy integrates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention, and relaxation training, reinforced by FDA-approved rTMS, tDCS, VR-assisted therapy, Evidence Based Music Therapy and biofeedback for stress regulation and cognitive retraining.

This department bridges the mind and body through neuro-psychophysiological assessments that quantify progress and deepen self-awareness. Our team emphasizes recovery through measurable change—helping patients regain confidence, functionality, and self-worth.

At Mindcare, those who live with awareness of their struggles are met with understanding, science, and a calm space to heal—without fear, without labels.
